Soo good and big portions! We came here on NYE 2024 in a large group of 13 and they were able to accommodate us. They have deliciously strong cocktails, lots of small plates/appetizers to share and substantial entrees. We orders a variety of cocktails and I tried most of them, they were all tasty and strong. There was one that had a Smokey mezcal taste. Anyhow, moving on to apps, we ordered an Ahi Tuna Ceviche with taro chips, chicken empanadas, crab/shrimp fried wontons and calamari's and our party devoured those so quick! Even the kiddos enjoyed most of the apps, mostly the calamari. We then moved on to order our entrees, we were already stuffed but proceeded. I ordered the salmon dish and it was delicious. The salmon was crispy and seasoned well. The potatoe gratin and veggies went well with the salmon. I would definitely order it again. The hubs ordered the filet mignon Lomo Saltado and I know he enjoyed it because he gobbled it all up with the quickness. My sister and brother in law ordered a Tacu Tacu, one with the lomo saltado steak and one with seafood. They enjoyed it but it was such a large portion, it was substantial! They boxed more than half to go and the container so still super heavy! Come here to drink, eat and be merry! Their service was attentive and accommodating. The decor was very bright, vibrant and full of music and colors. It was a good time.
I had only been here for bunch before and never been for dinner. I had no idea what I was missing! This was such a wonderful dinner from start to finish. The interior was decorated for christmas, and it was gorgeous! We were a party of 10, and they were very accomodating for such a large party. We all ordered different cocktails, and they were all really good. I ordered the Ayawaska Mule, which was their version of a moscow mule with pisco. It was really delicious! I was very happy with my drink. For my meal I ordered the tallarines verdes, and it was one of the best meals I have ever had. The filet mignon was sauced perfectly and it blended so well with the pesto linguine. I very rarely eat my entire meal in one sitting, but I could not put my fork down! This was such a great meal I would definitely recommend coming in if you're in Petaluma!
I missed this place so much while I was pregnant. So good to be back. As always, they serve up the best ceviche. They have several options to choose from and you can't go wrong with any one of them. I usually go with their classic or ahi. Make sure to get the terra chips with it. Happy hour offers discounted cocktails and bites. Empanadas for $5 and those are always delicious. They make great cocktails too. Ayawaska is one of my favorite restaurants and the service is always great! Can't wait to come back soon!
Service: The service has generally been good. But I know that they're prone to potentially having an off night every once in awhile when it's busy - a couple times, I did takeout here and the staff seemed stressed/impatient with me and the others who were lined up waiting to pick up their takeout. So that could be better. Food: Quality is good and everything is tasty. However, I feel their food and drinks are overpriced even for the area. Ambiance: Nice indoor and outdoor seating areas
I visited Ayawaska for a birthday dinner and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't as busy as I expected. We were seated quickly, and our waiter was attentive and helpful in answering our questions about the menu. Since I don't usually eat Peruvian food, I was excited to explore the different dishes. We started with a few tapas, including grilled octopus and empanadas, both of which were delicious. For the entrées, we tried a variety of dishes including risotto, aji de gallina, lomo saltado, and arroz con mariscos. While most of them were enjoyable, the meat was a bit on the salty side. Overall, it was a good experience. The restaurant's interior was cute and had a great vibe, and I'd definitely return to try more dishes!
Very spacious restaurant with a view of the river, plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Feels like a great place to grab drinks and hang out with some small eats. We came for lunch on Saturday after 1 pm and we were seated immediately. You could make reservations if preferred. Servers were attentive and accommodating with our stroller. The lomo saltado clasico was good. Very tender and juicy meat. The pescado a lo macho had fantastic presentation! I don't typically eat whole fried fish but I tried some from my husband's plate and ate more than I thought I would. The seafood stew went well with the fish and rice. Next time, I would like to sit outside, enjoy the scenery and get a few appetizers and ceviches.
We like the variety of great drinks and the appetizers are really good. The most recent were the tenderloin skewers along with the tuna ceviche Nikkei, both were delicious. We had two people who took care of us after the fist one's shift ended , both we really nice. We usually sit on the patio, its nice being right on the river.
Love the atmosphere of this restaurant. The service is amazing too. I think the food was okay but slightly lacking in flavor for the price you pay. We ordered the mixed fried calamari which was $18. I got the Lomo Saltado- Peruvian beef tenderloin, red onion, tomatoes, cilantro, garlic, soy and lomo sauce french fries & rice which was $29 and paid the additional $6 to get it Mixto (which makes it beef and shrimp) slightly disappointed when I found out it's they just add 3 shrimps. I personally didn't like this dish and switched with my fiancé. My fiancé got the Seco De Carne- Peruvian beans stew, braised short rib with chicha de jora and cilantro served with rice and salsa criolla which was $30. I also ordered the Noctambul- tropical cocktail of Rum with passion fruit and coconut cream, subtly infused with a refined coffee aroma which was $18. I did like this drink. Overall I think this restaurant was very unique and inviting with really great customer service and drinks. The only fault in my opinion is the food/pricing I don't mind when I get a $130+ bill but when the flavor backs the pricing.
Came here to have dinner with my coworkers. The place was nice and they had good music selection. As a Bolivian, I was very happy to have this option that is somewhat close to our cuisine - So I had to order a chicha morada as my beverage of choice, so refreshing! I ordered the caus caus mariscos. The presentation was lovely, seafood was fresh, rice was nice and warm. But the flavor lacked slightly to be honest. It was a bit underwhelming. Since I'm GF, there wasn't much I could try from their menu. But from what my coworkers expressed, the empanadas were delicious, so if you want something safe, try an empanada!
